Part of DCC plc, a sales, marketing, distribution and business support services group headquartered in Dublin, Flogas is a highly successful business that places people at the heart of our organisation.​Key responsibilities of the role will include;Key business partner to Technical & Engineering•Co-ordination and delivery of regular and month end reporting for business partners to understand their performance and help form priorities•Delivering insight through clear and understandable reporting, KPIs and trend analysis providing support and challenge to cost centre owners with a view to controlling cost, maximising efficiency and creating value•Being a key part of the Technical & Engineering management team, taking the lead for finance as well as credibly participating in discussions as a trusted partner•Developing and managing annual operational and capital budgetsCapital expenditure & management of Fixed Asset Register•Working with the team on their capital expenditure proposals to ensure accuracy, robustness and commercial value•Carrying out post investment appraisals to measure success of delivery and guide future projects•Tracking of expenditure versus budget and highlighting of key under/overspends•Tracking and monitoring Projects capitalised and challenging the validity of these in line with the Capex policy•Ensuring completed Projects are capitalised accurately onto the Fixed Asset Register on a monthly basisJob Costing•Introducing standardisation in Job costings for Medium/Large Projects and following up with post investment appraisals •Increasing the level of monitoring of Smaller projects to ensure jobs are continually being delivered within the estimated job costResource Model & Contractor review•Developing an understanding of resourcing requirements by geography and Job type and ensuring this aligns to current Resource employed/contracted•Delivering insight into reasons for and frequency of Job Aborts and then using this to create a set of guidelines to help bring down the cost of Aborts and increase resource efficiency•Regular review of contractor rates & performance to ensure best value, i.e. weigh up complexity of job with hours required and rates paid versus cost in house​What do we want from you?•Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)•Experience of working in a commercial / operational environment•Business partnering experience, able to work effectively with non-finance professionals•Able to quickly interpret data and spot trends, and draw conclusions from potentially incomplete datasets•Experience of Qlikview or other BI tool (Tableau, Power BI etc) – preferred but not essential​In return, we offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday pro rata, plus statutory entitlement and death in service.
