We are looking for an Account Manager to deliver a number of UK Partnerships that provide Cardmembers with access to some of the UK’s best cultural moments. This role will suit someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the project delivery for exciting campaigns however as part of a growing team be flexible with supporting across the account when required.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Momentum is American Express’ global agency of record in sponsorship and events, and as such is responsible for the strategic development, management and execution of the client’s UK Experiences programme. 

The Experiences programme is a benefits programme for Cardmembers offering inspired experiences in music, film, theatre and dining. This may be delivered through access to existing partner events, the creation of bespoke experiences/offers or the production of engaging digital content.

This UK AM role is focused on managing and supporting our client’s key partnerships, including activation of the partner benefits, campaign delivery, management of all associated comms/media and evaluation. Alongside this, the role will include supporting the wider team to drive awareness and broaden engagement with the Experiences programme. 

You will work with multiple partnerships and external agencies as well as internal Momentum stakeholders to increase awareness of American Express Experiences programme and Cardmember engagement.

The role requires a strong and committed person to manage key stakeholders and support the UK American Express team to bring the programme to life. It will be very important to build positive relationships based on strong communication skills and proactive process management.

You must be a solid, analytical thinker with communications and project delivery experience, who can enhance and develop our contractual partnership benefits and contribute to the overall success of the programme.

The role will report into an Account Director and is supported on a day-to-day basis by an Account Executive.

  • Support AD across all client partnerships.
  • Execution and management of sponsorship benefits and ticket access across entertainment and lifestyle genres.
  • Act as key agency contact for day-to-day communications of the UK Experiences programme, dealing with partners, clients and agencies.
  • Overall project and stakeholder management across multiple projects and partnerships including briefing of creative, strategy and approvals trafficking.
  • Attend client and partner events and meetings as required – role will require a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Manage multiple work streams and have an overview across all to be able to inform the entire team as required.
  • Write and produce supporting materials for client teams.
  • Provide excellent account service through creating and managing efficient processes and timelines.
  • Having meticulous attention to detail and great organizational skills.
  • Deliver output linked directly to client objectives and goals – short and long term.
  • Stay abreast of trends, innovation and opportunities within the entertainment and experiences genre, so that you are able to positively influence programme KPIs.
  • Continually add value to the programme, through informed point of views, and the preparation and presentation of documents for the client.
  • Work in a team environment that facilitates mutual respect and partnership across functions; quality thinking; appropriate risk taking; strong internal communications; and regular performance feedback.
  • Day to day management and collaboration with junior members of the team, with possible line management duties in the future.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Momentum’s core disciplines and be proactive in growing client business across the agency.
  • Required Skills:

  • Agency experience with track record of strong Partner and internal-stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven Communication / campaign management experience.
  • Sponsorship and partnership management experience dealing with significant partnerships and multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional client management skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills and successful negotiator.
  • Excellent presentation skills – producing and presenting.
  • Live event and experiential knowledge beneficial.
