Driver Hire Taunton & Bridgwater have an opportunity throughout the Summer for a Class 2 driver to assist our client based in Highbridge, Somerset. Our client is a leading supplier of recycled plastic glasses to the hospitality trade across the UK.
You will be delivering and collecting plastic glasses from sporting venues such as Wimbledon, Test match grounds in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Nottingham.
Start times will vary from 05.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs depending upon destination and event finishing times.
All products are boxed up and in most cases fork lifted from the vehicle, ideally the successful candidate will have experience in operating a tail lift.
To deliver clean recycled plastic glasses to sporting venues across the UK and return with used glasses that need cleaning and sterilising
Complete all paperwork accurately, gaining signatures as required and handing in to the Logistics manager on return
To drive the vehicle in accordance with the Highway code and all other Transport related regulations, E.G Driver hours, tachograph rules & RTD
Assist, whilst at each venue with unloading / reloading of glasses
As a Cat C / Class 2 Driver you must have:
A valid UK Cat C driving licence, ideally clean with no penalty points
A Driver CPC qualification card and digital tachograph card
The flexibility to start late afternoons or early morning depending on venue and in line with driver hour regulations
A can do approach, assisting whilst at each venue, loading / unloading takes on average 40 minutes
Good communication skills with the teams at the venues and with the Transport office in Highbridge, by reporting any delays
Pay & Hours of Work:
Pay rates start from £11.50 per hour and up to £14.50 per hour for weekends and unsocial hours worked during the week (PAYE)
Start times will vary from 05.00 hrs up to 16.00 hrs, this will vary depending on destination and event finishing times, therefore a flexible approach is required
