As a Cyber Engineer no one day is exactly the same, as you will be working with different technologies, in varied professional environments. You will utilise multiple modern programming languages, including; Linux, Windows, iOS and Android capabilities, therefore, prior experience would be desirable.
From Vulnerability Research to testing, you will assist in performing highly advanced assurance processes, which will in turn, ensure the quality and accuracy of the final product.
Cyber Engineer- Key requirements:
Research and VR assessment production, to enable proof-of-concept capabilities.
Oversee the life-cycle of high assurance capability development.
Agile software development.
Production of technical reports for varied audience competencies.
Estimation and planning of tasks.
Peer review participation, relating to code and research artifacts.
Present your work to customers when necessary.
Strive for continuous improvement.
Assist the Sales and Bid teams.
Cyber Engineer- Desirable requirements:
Wide knowledge of C or C++, Python, Assembly, C# and scripting languages.
Working knowledge of IDA Pro and Hex Rays, Ghidra and Binary Ninja.
Experience of research tooling, such as: Wireshark, Sys Internals or API Monitor.
Knowledge of Windows, Linux, iOS, Android or embedded systems.
Ability to use virtualisation products, such as; VMWare or Virtual Box.
Working knowledge of cloud services, such as; SaaS and PaaS.
Designing technical software solutions.
Writing technical reports and presentations.
Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methods and use of Confluence, Jira and Wiki’s.
Keeping abreast of UK Government working practices.
It should be advised, that you will need to be able to hold and maintain UK Government clearances upon initial enrollment.
