Teaching Personnel are recruiting a graduate to join our partner secondary school in Rochdale. Our client school is a highly successful and rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in the recent report. The strong and ambitious leadership of the headteacher, supported by leaders, governors and members of the trust, has resulted in a noticeable improvement in behaviour, the quality of teaching and outcomes of pupils since the last inspection.

The role:

• Full time Teaching Assistant

• 32.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

• Salary from GBP10.20 per hour

• 1-2-1 and small group support

• Parment contract

Kickstarting your teaching career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant is the best way to gain classroom experience and build your confidence teaching in a full class of 30+ students. You will develop all the skills needed to be a valued member at the school and be guided every step of the way to learn everything you need to know.

Duties as a TA include:

• Working 1-2-1 with disengaged pupils who find it more difficult to learn

• Building pupils confidence and self-esteem

• Supporting with social, emotional and mental health difficulties

• Breaking down barriers to learning

• Being a positive role model for students and creating strong relationships

• Liaising with teachers and senior leaders

• Completing relevant training to develop your career
