Here at Halfords we're recruiting for a Market Research Analyst to work as part of our group customer team. As our Market Research Analyst you'll:

  • Script, analyse and present findings from quantitative market research surveys, delivering actionable customer insight – using customer feedback to define and shape propositions and identify opportunities for Halfords
  • Work cross functionally with category, marketing, digital, and strategy teams to deliver customer insight that answers business questions
  • With the support of the Customer Insight Manager recommend the right approach to answer business questions and understand different market research techniques
  • Support the Customer Insight Manager in ensuring our customer panel programme is set up correctly and used to full potential across the business
  • Lead our brand tracking programme alongside agency provider, ensuring the outputs are understood by the business
  • Understand best practice in research methodology and keep up to date with trends, new technology and competitor advances in this area
  • Your experience & skills/qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of market research experience either from agency or client side
  • First hand experience of scripting and analysing quantitative surveys
  • Ability to present back insights clearly to non-technical audiences
  • High levels of competence with Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple partners, prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Understanding of retail – ideally from first hand retail experience in previous role/projects

  • Productive team member, collaborating effectively with all teams and at all levels of the organisation, who can see how insight can add value to CRM, the broader marketing team and overall business strategy
  • An evangelist for customer and our relationships with them, obsessed about delivering the right message at the right time and with the right content
  • Possession of level of gravitas – able to influence senior stakeholders
