Role:  WElsh Medium Nursery Assistant
Pay: GBP10.20 per hour
Location:  Cardiff (CF14)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Start Date:  September - Possibly start a transition period throughout the Summer Term

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant to work in a Nursery class in a Primary School in Cardiff. The role will include supporting the pupils, teacher, and other teaching assistants in the classroom. You will be joining one of the best Early Years Phases in the borough and be provided with additional training from the get-go! As a EYFS Teaching Assistant you will be carrying out Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Writing and Mathematics sessions.

We are looking for candidates who are motivated, positive, professional, and able to use their own initiative and work well within a team. As each day can be different and adaptable and flexible approach is essential.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school but not essential.

Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate which is registered with the Update Service.

Expectations:

Ability to speak Welsh fluently

Ability to build good relationships with both staff and pupils.

Passionate about developing children’s learning.

Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

Adapt teaching methods and work to suit different age groups and abilities.

Have a passionate for engaging students and watching them develop into lifelong learners, always going the extra mile to create a fun and positive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
