The Role:

At Helping Hands, we genuinely believe that helping other people is one of the most amazing things you can do, and we are excited to be advertising for a brand-new opportunity as a Personal Assistant.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a small group of individuals in their own homes, supporting them to live life to the full. We have full or part time opportunities available where you will be supporting with the customers well-being and lifestyle.

As you build a relationship with your customers, you will be able to work with them on a range of activities which could include; cooking, health and fitness, companionship or assisting them to attend social events.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their life to the full
  • Supporting customers with housekeeping, cooking, domestic duties
  • Consistently offering high levels of customer service
  • Supporting customers to attend appointments, go shopping or take part in community activities
  • Developing relationships with customers to enhance their quality of life
  • Supporting the customer with diary management, correspondence and running errands
  • Attending social events with your customer
  • Who you are:

    You may be an experienced Care Assistant already and are looking for an opportunity to use your skills in a slightly different environment. Or it may be that you have transferrable skills from another career, such as Hospitality, Catering or Health and Fitness which will be valuable to the individuals we support.

    We provide comprehensive training so previous experience as a Personal Assistant is not necessary. We want to hear from you if you have excellent customer service skills, a professional attitude and a passion for enabling others to life a happy and fulfilled life.

    The Helping Hands New Milton team are looking for outstanding individuals to join our ever-growing team! We are pleased to announce that from the 1st April 2021, we will be rolling out a pay increase to all our carers, meaning their rate of pay will be £23k pa PLUS 35p per mile for travel expenses (enhanced rates for bank holidays) We have flexible working patterns available in and around New Milton, Lymington, Barton-on-Sea, Sway and Milford-On-Sea. You can choose to work mornings, evenings, full days, sleep in’s and waking nights. Staff must be willing to work every other weekend.
