Position Overview

We are currently recruiting a Projects Coordinator to provide support within our Central Government Business Unit. This position sits amongst a wider projects team based at both Milton Keynes and London, however this role is to be based in Milton Keynes. The post holder will provide support for projects being managed by members of the project team including assistance with producing project documentation, coordination of meetings and events, liaison with Client stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues along with the maintenance of project files. The successful candidate will be security cleared for the role.


  • Be responsible for supporting projects employing Project Management methodologies, including administrative support.
  • Work closely with and under the guidance of the Programme Manager to ensure a coordinate approach to the delivery of projects.
  • Update, maintain and interrogate information management systems and be the central point of contact for the project management system (Maximo).
  • Assist the Programme Manager with the generation of reports and provision of additional ad-hoc reporting where required.
  • Oversee a number of project commercial processes, including procurement and invoice handling.
  • Monitor projects and associated key documentation throughout their lifecycle and assist with the smooth delivery of projects from end to end.
  • Develop and maintain a process for tracking and reporting New Works.
  • Take ownership of the project waste management process and produce audit-compliant documentation.
  • Represent the project team at meetings as and when required, taking minutes and producing copies for distribution.
  • Assist in the monitoring of sub-contractor performance.
  • Facilitate the processing of parking requests and delivery bookings.
  • Maintain the site induction register for project sub-contractors.

  • The successful candidate will have experience in the service industry and be able to demonstrate the ability to facilitate the successful delivery of projects.
  • IT literate in MS Office with a high degree of competency using spreadsheets. (Essential)
  • Understanding & use of information management systems/databases and the production of associated reports. (Essential)
  • Understands the procurement process and be able take control of raising and receipting all orders. (Essential)
  • You must be able to deliver at pace, working within multiple deadlines & duties & also deliver works accurately. (Essential)
  • You will be expected to work to your own initiative, whilst also working well as an integral team member. (Essential)
  • Fully conversant with all applicable legislation, regulations and standards. (Desirable)
  • Competent in the use of Maximo (Desirable)
  • Understand the commercial process (tendering and obtaining quotes against specifications) (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of or experience of working within the construction industry. (Desirable)
  • Qualifications

  • Driving License (Essential)
  • Hold SC Clearance or able to obtain SC Clearance (Essential)
