We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled person to join our robust and forward thinking team as a Children's Centre Worker on a Relief basis.
Candidates will have their own transport and be willing to use this in their duties.
A child-centred and flexible approach with a desire to meet the needs of the young people in our care is a must. We are seeking to recruit workers from across North Yorkshire and are particularly interested in anyone who may wish to consider providing High Needs Supporting Lodgings or Foster Care with our No Wrong Door Service.
The role includes evening and weekend working on a shift basis, with sleep -in duties and occasional night work.
This role is to become part of the No Wrong Door programme for residential care in North Yorkshire. Information on this can be found on the NYCC website.
A knowledge of this service will be expected at interview. Experience in working with challenging behaviour and a working knowledge of relevant legislation is highly desirable. We would expect successful candidates to adopt our ethos of restorative practice and work therapeutically in their role
