Ground worker / Operative Responsibilities:
The purpose of the role is to carry out remediation works on sites in various locations. The post holder is expected to act at all times with integrity, due skill, care and diligence and observing proper standards of conduct supporting the site remediation activities of the Company.
The hours of work are 50 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some overtime at evenings and weekends, and deployment may include overnight stay away from home.
Carry out works under the direction of the remediation Supervisor, consultant, or project manager. The post holder will be expected to use their own initiative, skills, knowledge and appropriate techniques.
Carry out remediation and civils works as required
Carry out spill response and environmental risk reduction works as necessary
Operate plant and machinery that they are licenced to operate and undertake hand dig excavation works to facilitate removal contamination.
Assist with the collection of photographs throughout works;
Undertaking all duties in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation.
Any other duties for which the postholder is qualified and experienced to undertake.
Ground worker / Operative Requirements:
Must possess a Full UK Driving Licence (clean preferred)
Must possess experience in remediation and civils works including concreting, installing drainage, laying kerbs, installing aco drains, landscaping and other associated works.
Excellent knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation
Specific experience in related trades.
Works associated Plant and machinery qualifications/experience advantageous but not essential.
Willingness to work in an environment of change, dealing with emergency works is essential
Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions, in environments that are considered dirty
Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers
