We have a new opportunity for an experienced Requirements and Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer to join our growing Systems Engineering team. The role will be focussed on delivery of one of the most significant conventional rail industry projects in the UK currently and provides an opportunity to develop in a unique and challenging position.

MAIN DUTIES:

The Requirements and V&V Engineer will be accountable for delivering high quality Requirements and V&V services to our clients, including: 

  • Establishing robust and appropriate Requirements systems for projects and programmes 

  • Implementing processes to capture and validate Requirements 

  • Ensuring traceability throughout the Requirements structure 

  • Working closely with Stakeholders to elicit requirements, ensuring the resulting requirements are clear and unambiguous. 

  • Establishing robust and appropriate Verification and Validation systems for projects and programmes 

  • Working closely with project teams to ensure there is robust evidence of validation and verification of Requirements 

  • Establishing and Managing database systems to support Requirements and V&V processes 

  • Presenting to clients and stakeholders the value of robust Requirements and V&V processes. 

  • Promoting the use of Requirements and V&V principles throughout project teams 

  • Estimating the resources needed to appropriately deliver robust Requirements and V&V for projects 

  • Resource management of delivery within time and budget.

  • Discipline strategy, recruitment and development of staff

  • maintaining competence framework

  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships all external parties to enhance the reputation of the company 

  • Working collaboratively with Project teams and stakeholders 

  • Essential Experience:

  • Good working knowledge of the DOORS™ Requirements Management system 

  • Demonstrable experience operating in the rail industry 

  • Strong requirements management, validation & verification, or project engineering experience from a complex organisation

  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects or in an alliance

  • Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role 

  • Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required 

  • Ability to work from home
