This new post forms part of a recently expanded Research Governance, Ethics and Integrity team, and will provide research governance leadership to ensure that all patient and healthy volunteer research sponsored by KCL is conducted and managed in line with university policy, the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research (where applicable) and all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
The role holder will contribute to the effective and efficient support of research and innovation at King’s through the delivery and promotion of the robust management of the College’s Research Governance processes, and lead on the development and implementation of a broad range of high level and local policy and procedures.
The role holder will have and continue to develop a sound knowledge of research governance requirements, internal to KCL and also national R&D requirements. They will provide authoritative advice and guidance relating to HRA and university governance processes to the research community and lead on the continued development of internal processes to support this.
The successful candidate will manage the Research Governance Office and report to the Head of Research Ethics and Governance.
