The role holder will be responsible and accountable for supporting the financial performance, service delivery and development of a small to medium sized contract, or medium sized subset of a large or strategically important contracts. They will support the Head of Contract Management. The role holder will require an excellent understanding of risk management and mitigation around bespoke client contracts and work with with teams to identify and mitigate risk. They will help through data analysis and presentation senior management understand where risk lies within the contracts.
As a member of the Sector you would be expected to support thought leadership and contract excellence as well as supporting your peers and colleagues living the BT values.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Mangement reporting of BT Wholesale risk within leadership team of wholesale and up into Enterprise and eventually Philip Jansen , Group.
Contract P&L Management – support the control of all cost and revenue to contract, through scrutiny of contracts to ensure contract teams have identified , valued and mitigated risk.
Support obligations management within contract teams.
Tracking of contracts teams to ensure compliance to Group Contract Management standards.
Be the main contact for the IACCM for BT Wholesale.
Ensure contract staff are making best use of L&D available and ensuring gaps in learning is sourced either internally or externally.
Support collation of information for Contract Governance to comply with monthly CGR process and be fully SOX compliant and obligations logged/managed.
Ensure the contracts are managing o/s debt.
Support Supplier Management
Support idea generation and administarion of Profit Improvement and growth.
The loss of such risk management or obligation control across the contracts would have a significant financial impact on the sector but probably not a strategic impact e.g. affecting BT’s overall outsourcing credibility in the market in the shorter term.
Support the Head of Contract Management, in managing the business escalations with the client and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Impact is medium-term but may be involved in supporting longer term strategic planning.
Risk Management; identification of contract issues and risks, ownership of the mitigation plans and execution against of the mitigations plans.
To support cost transformation initiatives across the contract base operating model working with the functional teams including; Commercial Products, Service Delivery and Service Operations teams.
Be an active member of the contract management community advocating and sharing best practice
You'll have the following skills & experience
Experience of identifying and mitigating risks in complex contracts.
Significant stakeholder experience, demonstrating impact and influence at mid-senior level.
Experience of support large complex business to business service contracts
Using risk management tools
Using Excel and other data analysis and presentation tools.
Delivered continuous improvement
Strong Governance background.
Commercial acumen to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes includes financial and P&L management
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve mutually satisfying outcomes for BT and its customers.
Working with virtual and multi discipline teams
Ability to successfully lead complex, transformational programmes of activity
Self starter comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment
