If you are a mid-level sustainability consultant with an interest in existing assets, then we have a fantastic opportunity to join one of the leading teams in this area. Our team works in sustainable development from small residential developments to city scale strategic plans. This role will work closely with property owners looking to improve the sustainable performance of their portfolios. We are looking for a professional with a holistic view on sustainability and hands-on experience developing procedures for energy and carbon reduction on properties of all types. The job will involve working in our Sustainability & Climate Change team translating client needs into innovative solutions, project delivery and development. The consultant should ideally have a good understanding of wider topics than energy and be interested in delivering low carbon, but also healthy, productive and resilient solutions.

A typical week would include:

  • On-site work gathering information on building systems, fabric and use
  • Modelling of a buildings energy performance to produce Non-Domestic and Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
  • Developing implementation measures to improve a buildings EPC and reduce energy consumption
  • EPC and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) strategic risk reduction advise to clients
  • Analysing and reporting sustainability data on monthly, quarterly and annual routines to underpin our client’s sustainability programmes
  • Enabling clients to optimise their portfolios – health and wellbeing, productivity, sustainability
  • Enabling clients to be “future ready” – Demographics, technology, climate.
  • We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • EPC experience. NDEA is essential. DEA certification in addition would be an advantage
  • Experience of IES, TAS or Design Builder
  • Sustainability or engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience of advising on environmental technical design, planning and Building Regulation compliance documentation; as well as, project and resource management
  • Experience of Building Regulations and policies
  • Technical expertise in buildings and the wider built environment including the impact of sustainability themes on core investment and management of assets in the property sector
  • An understanding of the wider context of sustainability from a policy and regulatory perspective
  • People skills and skills in coaching and collaborations cross-functionally
  • Personable and a ‘can do’ attitude with resource management experience.
