In your new role you will ...

  • be in a sales engineering role as part of the TDK UK sales team.
  • be responsible for the sales and design-in of components for use in the Automotive and Industrial/Home Appliance Industries.
  • be in charge of the definition of the strategic direction at the customer as well as its implementation with product marketing and development, including new business development.
  • be actively responsible for customer loyalty and independently carry out regular customer visits on site.
  • be responsible for a defined product range, a specific region or key accounts, adapted to your personal strengths and experience.
  • be keen to analyse the market, competitive activities, customer trends and work with TDK colleagues in other locations worldwide in order to translate business goals into sustainable product and customer strategies.
  • be confident to help set sales budgets, forecasts and drive performance to meet targets.
  • You will succeed in the role because ...

  • you have successfully completed a degree, or similar, in electronics or electrical engineering, (physics or mathematics graduates with an aptitude to learn the practical application of passive components will be considered).
  • after completing your education, you have already been able to gain experience in a technical environment – either in sales, sales support or purchasing (ideally in the electronics industry).
  • your strengths include a structured way of working, being disciplined in routine administrative tasks, planning, reporting and responding to ad hoc requirements.
  • you have good listening, communication (verbal & written) skills (English) and negotiating confidence.
  • proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • regular business trips are no problem for you.
