The Licensing Team is undergoing a fundamental restructure at Swindon Borough Council to ensure it is modern, efficient and effective and meets the demands for today and tomorrow.
We are pleased to be able to offer a developmental trainee role as part of our new licensing team structure a Swindon Borough Council.
These opportunities do not come up very often and we are looking for the right person to undertake the role. You will be required to work on your own initiative, plan and complete your training and work experience whilst maintaining a small relevant caseload.
This is a busy and friendly team working within the Council’s Regulatory Services department, which includes Licensing, Building Control, and Planning Enforcement.
You will be required to be self-motivated with good time management skills in order to manage and prioritise your workload and make time for your training. You will possess excellent people skills allied with the proven ability to listen, explain, negotiate and influence. You will have a track record of good performance and will be able to work flexibly.
